Processing Options

Tepex® processing in a reproducible process by rubber or matched metal press forming enables mass-manufacturing of three-dimensional parts of continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastics with low cycle times.

The Tepex® sheet is clamped and fixed in the forming press, heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape in a mold, and trimmed to create a usable product.

Forming pressure starts from 5 bar, since Tepex® materials are already fully impregnated.

Process cycle times significantly below 1 minute can be achieved.
Surface characteristics can be optimized with Tepex® optilite materials processed with rapid heating and cooling tool technology.
